Hello, and thanks to all of you who made it to drumming classes this year – we’ve finished for 2023 and will re-start in January 2024.

A big part of the reason I started the classes was to get myself out of the house and more engaged with the community, and to build something – I’ve really enjoyed it, so thank you to all who have made it possible.

The biggest challenge this year was regular attendance. I’m doing this video after a discussion with some friends about building community groups, and the suggestion that I should ask YOU if there was anything we can do to make it easier to get to classes regularly? Also, to find out what you want from/hope for/dream of the classes.

I want the classes to be fun, and to build a community. I would love for students to get to the level where you can jam and hang out outside classes, I’d love to get some of my friends to come and do some guest teaching, and I think it would be great when we get to the level where we can do performances – there’s a lot of opportunity locally for this.

This year we got up and running, next year I’m hoping for big things.

So, the point of this video is to ask you for your feedback – you can give it anonymously if you’d like – by filling out the form below. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to have a chat, please feel free to call me on 0400 153 891 (leave a message if I can’t answer and I’ll get back to you).

I know the form is wordy (as is this), but I do really want to hear from you and would love to build something great with these classes. With your help.

That’s it. Thanks again to those of you who made the classes this year, and look forward to seeing you all next year!

In… the future.
